When this isn't the right fit
If you are a single-cell operation running a handful of jobs a week, a whiteboard genuinely works and custom software would be money wasted. If a standard MRP package fits your process cleanly, buy it — it will cost less than anything bespoke. This is for the businesses in between, where the process is specific enough that generic tools fight you.
Common questions
Can I see it working before committing to anything?
Yes. ProdFlow is a sample system you can click through — no sign-up, sample data. It shows how we work rather than what you would receive; your system would be built around your process, not this one.
Do you sell a standard product?
No. We do not have a product to sell you a licence for. Every system is built individually for one company, because the whole reason to commission bespoke software is that your process does not fit the standard packages. If we handed you a template we would just be selling you a worse version of the MRP you already rejected.
Why not just buy an off-the-shelf MRP system?
If one fits your process, do exactly that — it will be cheaper and better supported. The problem manufacturers usually hit is that MRP packages assume a particular way of working, and adapting your floor to the software costs more in daily friction than the licence ever saved. Custom becomes worthwhile when the workarounds start outweighing the fit.
What about traceability and audits?
Full audit trail is built in as standard — every status change, sign-off and checklist entry is recorded against a user and timestamp. For electronics work we have handled first-off approvals, photo evidence at inspection points, and per-stage sign-off, which is generally what customer and quality audits ask to see.
Can it work on the shop floor, not just in the office?
That is the point of the TV boards. Screens on the floor auto-refresh with live job status so operators and supervisors can see what is running without asking anyone. Everything is web-based, so the same system works on a desktop, a tablet at a workstation, or a wall-mounted display.
Will it integrate with what we already use?
Usually, yes. Accounting software, existing ERP, label printers, supplier feeds — integration gets scoped alongside the build. Rip-and-replace is rarely the cheapest route and we will not push it if it is not needed.
How long does a system like this take to build?
It depends on how many departments and processes it covers. A focused system for a single production area is a much shorter project than a full lifecycle build. We scope it properly first and give you a fixed price and timeline before starting.
